New toys, Flytech Dragon fly and solar bluetooth GPS

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007 @ 3:00 pm | general

Got a couple new toys this week:

First up is the Flytech Dragonfly, which is a remote controlled dragonfly that actually flaps it’s wings, it is pretty cool and we all have had some fun flying it around the office, it is remarkable how you can cease productivity so quickly on the entire floor of a building. Here is an image I took of the box.
another new toy :)

Next up is a solar powered bluetooth GPS unit that manages about 100hrs run time from a full charge, and recharges in the sun.

Here! here! On clearing an entire floor’s productivity for an hour! My goal with the DragonFly at work was to fly it over top of the cubicles…. which I did; for one row. Which it then dropped onto someone’s desk who was a little less than pleased that it occurred.

We went out to the cafeteria area and I then dropped it onto someone’s table….

And, it finally ended up in the elevator pit…

Ok, maybe I’m the problem. Even after all of that - I still enjoy the thing (enough to start a fan-site/community for it - http://www.mydragonfly.info).

The pic of the bluetooth GPS is unavailable (deleted?). And it makes 100 hours? The most I’ve seen is around 20….

      the problem with gps…

The built in proximity alert system lets you set alarms when you get close to these areas. That allows you to avoid the headaches that might come from traffic or speeding through a school zone….
